The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has announced the fixtures for the Warriors’ upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in Group C.
Benin will host Zimbabwe on Thursday, 5 September, at a neutral venue — the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast — due to the lack of an approved stadium in Benin. The venue famously staged the 2023 AFCON final between Ivory Coast and Nigeria. Kick-off is set for 5:00 PM CAT.
Four days later, on Tuesday, 9 September, Zimbabwe will face Rwanda at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. The match, scheduled for 3:00 PM CAT, will also be played at a neutral venue, with Zimbabwe still unable to host international fixtures because of stadium compliance issues.
The Warriors’ qualification hopes remain slim. They are bottom of Group C with just four points — nine adrift of leaders South Africa — and have only four matches left to play.
