The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has strongly condemned Warriors striker Tino Kadewere for verbally assaulting and threatening sports journalist Yvonne Mangunda, calling his actions unacceptable and unbecoming of a national team player.
In a press statement ZIFA said it acknowledges and regrets the incident at Orlando Stadium involving a Warriors player and journalist Yvonne Mangunda.
“We value the media as vital partners in our game and will always ensure they can work without fear or intimidation.
“The player has apologised, an amicable resolution has been reached, and the matter is being handled internally.
“Together, let’s keep football a space of respect and unity,” said ZIFA.
