Scottland FC striker Tymon Machope and Reading midfielder Tivonge Rushesha have been drafted into the Zimbabwe Warriors squad for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
Machope replaces injured midfielder Jonah Fabisch, while Rushesha comes in for Sheffield Wednesday’s Sean Fusire.
Meanwhile, in Europe, Italy-based Warriors versatile player Jordan Zemura featured for the full 90 minutes as Udinese stunned Inter Milan 2-1 away at the San Siro on Sunday night (31 August 2025). Zemura, operating at left wing-back in a 3-5-2 system, earned a 6.5 match rating. He registered 45 touches, completed 15 of 21 passes (71% accuracy), created one chance (xA 0.02), attempted three crosses, and made two clearances in a disciplined display.
With Machope and Rushesha reinforcing the squad, and Zemura sharpening his game in Serie A, Warriors coach Michael Nees will be encouraged by the depth and form of his players ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifiers.
