WATCH LIVE ACTION: ZIFA Confirms Broadcast Details for Zim Warriors vs Benin

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has confirmed multiple options for fans to watch the Warriors’ 2026 FIFA World Cup Group C qualifier against Benin on Friday evening.

The match will take place at a neutral venue — the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast — as Benin currently lacks a CAF-approved stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm CAT.

ZIFA announced that national broadcaster ZBC TV will show the game live. Supporters can also tune in via SuperSport TV, while the FIFA+ app will stream the clash online.

Warriors Team Update

The Warriors have been in full training since Wednesday, with the camp boosted by the arrival of European-based stars such as Jordan Zemura, Tino Kadewere and Teenage Hadebe. Their inclusion has lifted spirits, giving coach Michael Nees more depth and options.

However, the team will be without vice-captain Marshall Munetsi, who is suspended for this match. His absence leaves a gap in midfield, forcing Nees to reshuffle his line-up. Veteran goalkeeper Washington Arubi, recalled to stabilise the side, is expected to start once again after his leadership and calm performances impressed in previous qualifiers.

Zimbabwe head into the match at the bottom of Group C with four points from six games. They are unbeaten in their last two outings — drawing 1-1 with Niger and defeating Mozambique 3-1 at the COSAFA Cup — but need victory on Friday to keep qualification hopes alive.

Emerging talents such as Prosper Padera and Thando Ngwenya could play key roles, with the Warriors having scored just five goals in the qualifiers so far. The squad is described as “focused and motivated,” with Arubi stressing that the players are ready to “fight tooth and nail” to turn their campaign around.
