Warriors name final AFCON squad as Marinică trims injured Munetsi, Zemura

Warriors coach Marian Marinică has confirmed his final 27-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations — with Marshall Munetsi and Jordan Zemura missing out after picking up injuries in the past week.

Munetsi suffered a calf setback with Wolves, while Zemura was withdrawn early in Udinese’s Serie A clash against Genoa with a thigh strain. Both were ruled unavailable for full participation, leading to their omission. Walter Musona, declared unfit at the start of camp, also misses out.

The final squad blends established internationals with rising talent as Zimbabwe prepare for group matches against Egypt (22 December), Angola (26 December) and South Africa (29 December).
