Musona’s Winner Puts Scottland on the Verge of Glory
Veteran Zimbabwean stars Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat are on the verge of winning their first-ever Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title as Scottland FC closes in on a historic 2025 championship.
The Harare-based club, featuring the former Kaizer Chiefs duo, extended its lead at the top of the table to six points after a hard-fought 1–0 win over MWOS FC at Rufaro Stadium, with Musona scoring the winner from a Walter Musona assist. The victory, coupled with Simba Bhora’s defeat to Ngezi Platinum Stars, leaves Scottland needing just one more win — against Kwekwe United — to secure the title in their debut top-flight season.
For Musona, 35, this campaign marks his first back in Zimbabwe after years abroad, while Billiat, also 35, continues to impress in his second domestic season after joining from Yadah FC. Alongside fellow ex-PSL players Terrence Dzvukamanja, Khuda Muyaba, and Ronald Pfumbidzai, the pair has been instrumental in guiding Scottland FC to the brink of history.
