Warriors captain and Luton Town Football Club midfielder, Marvelous Nakamba sponsored team, Njube Spurs have won this season’s 2025 Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Bulawayo Province Under 17 championship.
Spirited side, Njube Spurs emerged victorious against Talen Vision by 3 goals to 2 and lifted the title in a match attended by Nakamba’s father Anthony, current and former footballers.
The team, which comes from the same “ghetto” neighborhood that Nakamba comes from – Njube, has enjoyed massive financial and material support from the Warriors captain since its inception in 2017.
Apparently, Nakamba has pointed out that he will facilitate trials in Europe for at least three young players from the club.
Nakamba is on record saying he would be happy to see football in Zimbabwe developing from the grassroots, hence the sponsorship.
