The just appointed Warriors head coach Marian Mario Marinica has named his 24-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Algeria and Qatar this November.
However, Warriors Vice captain Marshall Munetsi and Khama Billiat have not been included in the squad.
It is not yet clear as to why the two key players has not been included.
But, unconfirmed reports suggest that Billiat could be turning his back on the national team. If proven to be true, this would be the second time for him to retire from the Warriors team.
Meanwhile, the Warriors technical bench has also been confirmed: Kaitano Tembo (Assistant Coach), Pernel Charles Mckop (Goalkeepers Coach), Chikondi Mandalasi (Strength & Conditioning), Abraham Mbaiwa (Fitness Trainer), Ronald Dumisani Moroka (Analyst), James Makoni (Analyst).
However, some key players Vice Captain Marshal Munetsi and Khama Billiat have not been included in the squad.
Apparently, the new coach acknowledged the need to mix experience and young talent, taking into account the likes of old horses Knowledge Musona, Teenage Hadebe, Marvelous Nakamba, blending them with rising stars Tawanda Chirewa, Bill Antonio, and Tymon Machope.
The two friendlies are part of the preparations for Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) finals set for Morocco this December.
