Scotland FC president boosts Simba Bhora with US$100,000 donation for CAF Champions League debut

Scotland FC president and businessman Scott Sakupwanya has donated US$100,000 to Simba Bhora ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie against Eswatini’s Nsingizini Hotspurs FC.

Sakupwanya, through his company Better Brands, the official sponsor of Simba Bhora, also pledged to finance the players’ winning bonuses should the Shamva-based side progress to the second round of the competition.

Simba Bhora will play the first leg this Sunday at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana, after their home venue failed to meet CAF requirements. The return leg will be staged in Eswatini the following weekend, with the aggregate winner set to advance to a tougher second-round fixture.

This campaign marks Simba Bhora’s first appearance in the CAF Champions League, having secured qualification through a strong finish in last season’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. The timely financial support is expected to ease logistical pressures and lift morale as the club gears up for one of the most significant challenges in its history.
