Revealed: How much Scottland FC paid for Peter Ndlovu switch

Zimbabwean champions Scottland FC have made a major financial statement by securing the services of former Mamelodi Sundowns legend Peter Ndlovu, signalling their growing ambition ahead of continental football.

Ndlovu, who previously served as team manager at Sundowns under Pitso Mosimane and Rulani Mokwena, joins Scottland FC on a two-year deal as team manager. According to FARPost, the Harare-based club paid between USD 200,000 and 300,000 (around R4 million) to land the former Zimbabwe Warriors captain.

He becomes a key part of Scottland’s expanding technical team and will work closely with head coach Norman Mapeza, who guided the club to their first Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title in November 2025. The squad, already featuring high-profile names such as Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona, is being strengthened with a clear eye on their maiden CAF Champions League campaign.

Backed by businessman and MP Scott Sakupwanya and major sponsors including Sakunda Holdings and IMC Communications, Scottland FC’s rapid rise has earned comparisons to Sundowns within Zimbabwean football. Club benefactor Wicknell Chivayo confirmed Ndlovu’s appointment publicly, while former teammate Esrom Nyandoro praised the move, backing Ndlovu to add significant leadership and experience.

Scottland FC will begin preparations for the 2026 season with a pre-season camp in South Africa and Namibia, before opening their campaign against Dynamos in the Castle Challenge Cup, as the club reshapes its squad ahead of a demanding year on both domestic and continental fronts.
