REPORT: Sean Fusire Shows Promise in Back-to-Back Sheffield Wednesday Appearances

Zimbabwe international Sean Fusire has been handed a first-team lifeline at Sheffield Wednesday, featuring in the club’s last two matches following his return from a loan spell.

The midfielder, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Carlisle United — making 14 league appearances — was recalled in the summer and impressed in pre-season, earning a place in the senior squad.

Fusire came off the bench in the Championship clash against Leicester City before getting an extended run in the Carabao Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers, where he was introduced midway through the first half.

He also recently made his Zimbabwe debut, completing 90 minutes in a friendly against Niger.
