Scottland FC Make History — Crowned 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Champions in Debut Season
Scottland FC have written their name into Zimbabwean football folklore after being crowned 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions, following a resounding 5–1 victory over Kwekwe United at Ascot Stadium on Matchday 32.
The triumph sealed the league title with two matches to spare, as The Mabviravira surged to an unassailable 65 points, seven clear at the top. Scottland’s story is one for the ages — a club founded in 2023, crowned national champions in their very first top-flight campaign. Only Black Rhinos had managed a similar feat, back in 1984.
The victory was driven by a dominant team performance, with Tymon Machope scoring a brace, and Khama Billiat, Ronald Pfumbidzai, and Tadiwa Chakuchichi adding their names to the scoresheet. Under coach Tonderai Ndiraya, Scottland have been a model of consistency, securing a second successive title for the gaffer after his 2024 success with Simba Bhora.
For Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona, the championship marks a long-awaited first taste of domestic glory. The two former Kaizer Chiefs stars, who returned home after years abroad, have finally lifted the Zimbabwean Premier League title that eluded them earlier in their careers.
Billiat joined Scottland at the start of the season after a short stint with Yadah, while Musona arrived mid-year from Saudi Arabia. Their reunion transformed Scottland into a formidable force, combining experience, flair, and leadership to power the club’s fairytale run.
