A number of Zimbabwean youngsters plying their trade overseas have continued to shine for their respective clubs widening the pool for selection into the national team.
15-year (old Zimbabwean youngster Ethan Jeche has since expressed his interest in playing for Zimbabwe in the up-coming Under 17s.
The Charlton Athletic rising forward scored 42 goals in 37 games and recorded 19 assists in the last season.
According to Zimbabwe Foreign Legion, he is ready to bring the form home, hopefully they won’t shut the door for him.
Another prospective Warrior, Dakarai Mafiko debuted for Cardiff City recently playing in unfamiliar position for 36 minutes before being substituted.
Mafiko who was sitting on a yellow card had to be pulled off the pitch as a way to prevent him from getting a red card.
Fears were that he could get another yellow card (red) as he had been aggressive on the left wing.

Apparently, four Zimbabwean referees have been appointed by FIFA to officiate in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Matchday 7 Qualifier between South Sudan and DR Congo, scheduled for 5 September 2025 at the National Stadium in Juba.
