Zimbabwean forward Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya found the net again as AmaZulu drew 1–1 with Sekhukhune in the Betway Premiership on Wednesday evening.
The 23-year-old striker, who earned a 7.0 match rating for his efforts, showed sharp movement and composure in front of goal to secure a point for AmaZulu. His aerial strength and tireless pressing underlined a growing maturity in his game.
Ngwenya’s performance has intensified calls for him to be considered for the Zimbabwe Warriors squad on a developmental trial basis. At just 23, he is viewed as a future project striker, capable of learning alongside senior internationals while offering a different attacking profile—direct, competitive in the air, and willing to defend from the front.
With Zimbabwe preparing for crucial international fixtures, Ngwenya’s emergence could not be better timed.
