Ngezi Platinum Stars have suspended head coach Takesure Chiragwi for three matches following an incident in which he allegedly slapped forward McDonald Makuwe during their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash against Dynamos earlier this month.
The club said the disciplinary action was taken to uphold professionalism and discipline within the squad. Assistant coach Kumbirayi Mutiwekuziwa will oversee the team’s next three fixtures while Chiragwi serves his suspension.
Meanwhile, Chiragwi is set to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee on October 28 to face misconduct charges, which could result in further sanctions.
Ngezi Platinum are seeking stability as they look to regain form in the final stretch of the league campaign.
