The National Sports Stadium which undergoing renovations is now 65 percent complete.
The Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture Parliamentary Portfolio Committee chairperson Farai Jere, annnounced the development during his presentation at the 2026 pre-budget seminar.
Jere confirmed that bucket seats have been fully installed, with all four gates now fitted with electronic turnstiles.
He also pointed out that planting of hybrid turf has been completed.
Jere said the water reticulation system is now 70 percent complete, while the perimeter fence installation is now 60 percent complete.
The NSS is a multi-purpose stadium, in Harare, Zimbabwe, with a maximum capacity of 60,000 people. It is the largest stadium in Zimbabwe, located in Harare, just a Few meters from Heroes Acre.
It has been used mostly for football matches, but also for rugby union.
