Munetsi wanted by top French Clubs

Interest in Marshall Munetsi is growing, with three French top-flight clubs reportedly targeting the midfielder in the January transfer window.

Reports emerged last month suggesting that the Warriors international could return to Ligue 1 just a year after joining English Premier League side Wolves from Stade de Reims.

According to Foot Mercato, OGC Nice, Paris FC and Nantes are all in the race to sign Munetsi this January.

The report further states that, despite interest from all three clubs, OGC Nice has been touted as a potential destination for the Zimbabwe international.

Munetsi left Stade de Reims after six years to join Wolves in February. Despite initially carving out a place in the side, his minutes have been severely limited since the managerial change at Molineux.

A regular under Vitor Pereira, his reduced role under Rob Edwards could see him leave in January and potentially return to France. The midfielder has not been included in Wolves’ last five Premier League matchday squads due to injury.
