Maswanhise shines again as Motherwell crush Kilmarnock

Tawanda Maswanhise continued his sensational season with another decisive display as Motherwell swept aside Kilmarnock to extend their formidable home run in the Scottish Premiership.

Elijah Just opened the scoring midway through the first half, before Maswanhise struck on the stroke of half-time, volleying home Tom Sparrow’s cross just 47 seconds after Kilmarnock midfielder Tom Lowery was sent off for a second booking. The timing of the goal proved a hammer blow for the visitors.

Motherwell took full control after the break. Ibrahim Said made it 3–0 with a close-range finish on 56 minutes, before Lukas Fadinger rounded off a dominant afternoon with a well-worked fourth late on.

Maswanhise’s goal was his 16th of the season, underlining his growing influence in Jens Berthel Askou’s side and earning him one of the highest player ratings on the pitch.
