Maswanhise Scores Again with Man of the Match display at Fir Park

Zimbabwe Warriors star Tawanda Maswanhise underlined his growing influence in Scottish football with a Man of the Match performance, earning an outstanding average rating of 9.08 in Motherwell’s 1–0 Scottish Cup win over Ross County.

Wearing the number 18 shirt, Maswanhise topped the ratings by a clear margin, ahead of goalkeeper Matty Connelly (8.25) and defender Liam Ross (7.94). His decisive goal on 62 minutes proved the difference, but it was his all-round contribution — movement, pressing, composure in possession and cutting edge in the final third — that set him apart.

The Zimbabwe international was a constant menace throughout the contest, going close earlier in the match before eventually finding the breakthrough. His sharp reactions inside the box and calm finish once again highlighted his confidence and maturity in big moments.

This latest award caps a remarkable run of form for Maswanhise, who has now delivered three goals in three matches since returning from AFCON duty and continues to be Motherwell’s standout performer in both league and cup competitions.

For Zimbabwe Warriors fans, the message is clear: Maswanhise is not just scoring — he is dominating matches and establishing himself as one of the most in-form Zimbabwean players in Europe this season.
