Kadewere, Bill Antonio, Fabisch Back as Nees Names Warriors Squad for Friendlies Against Burkina Faso, Niger

Zimbabwe national team coach Michael Nees has announced his squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Burkina Faso and Niger, scheduled for June 6 and 10, respectively. Both matches will be played in Morocco, with the exact venue to be confirmed.

The squad features a number of fringe players, as Nees has opted to rest several regulars, including Andy Rinomhota, Marshall Munetsi, Tivonge Rushesha, and Knowledge Musona. Despite regaining full fitness, Marvelous Nakamba has also been left out after missing previous games due to injury.

There is a return to the squad for goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze and German-based midfielder Jonah Fabisch, both of whom have been included following recent absences. Tinotenda Kadewere and Bill Antonio are also back in the team after recovering from injuries.

A notable inclusion is Sean Fusire, who receives his first senior national team call-up. The 19-year-old Sheffield Wednesday player was born in the UK to Zimbabwean parents and has chosen to represent the Warriors.
