Zimbabwean forward Junior Zindoga has officially completed a move from Marumo Gallants to TS Galaxy, making his debut on Tuesday evening as Galaxy claimed a 2–0 victory over Siwelele.
Zindoga, formerly with Nsingizini Hotspurs in Eswatini, came off the bench in the 67th minute. ZimbabweWarriorsZone.com, drawing on a combination of match reports and performance metrics, gave Zindoga a 6.3 rating for his 23-minute appearance. He had 15 touches, completed one of five passes, won two of three ground duels, suffered one foul, and made two clearances. While it was a quiet debut in attack, his energy and versatility added depth as Galaxy closed out the victory.
Although it was a quiet introduction in attack, his pace and versatility added depth as Galaxy secured the three points through goals from Siphelele Mahlambi in the 22nd and 45+1 minutes.
Off the pitch, Zindoga’s international future remains a talking point. The 27-year-old has the freedom to choose between representing the Zimbabwe Warriors or Bafana Bafana, having been registered as a South African citizen during his time at Gallants. Born to a Zimbabwean father, Regis, and a South African mother, Zenobia, he qualifies for both national teams.
Marumo Gallants, his former club, are also home to Warriors pair Washington Arubi and Daniel Msendami, highlighting the Zimbabwean presence at the side.
With his move to Galaxy, Zindoga is expected to bring added firepower to the Rockets’ frontline as they aim to improve on last season’s mid-table finish.
