Brendan Galloway has been sidelined for Zimbabwe’s final two Group J matches in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers against Kenya and Cameroon next month. The Plymouth Argyle defender sustained an ankle injury while on international duty during the Warriors’ recent game against Namibia.
Following medical scans, it has been confirmed that Galloway will be out for four to six weeks. Plymouth Argyle coach Wayne Rooney addressed the situation, telling the Plymouth Herald: “Brendan will be four to six weeks with an ankle injury. I know he hasn’t played much this season but he’s a big part of what we are trying to do. I’m disappointed to lose him and hopefully, just after the next international break, we can get him back.”
Zimbabwe is set to conclude their AFCON qualifying campaign during the November international break, with a home fixture against Kenya followed by an away match against Cameroon.
