Ex Warriors great, Ndiraya on brink of making history

Former Zimbabwean national football team utility player, Tonderai Ndiraya is on the brink of history, as he is set to become the first coach to lead two different clubs to their maiden Castle Lager Premiership titles in consecutive seasons.

After winning with Simba Bhora in 2024, he now stands another chance to land the crown with Scottland.

The team could secure the tittle this weekend with a win over relegated Kwekwe United.

Ndiraya is on record declaring that his team is now firmly targeting the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title after opening a four-point lead at the top of the table.

Speaking after one of his league matches, Ndiraya admitted that while his side are not yet in full control of the title race, they are now openly gunning for the championship.

“We are ahead by four points, but of course, Simba Bhora have two games in hand,” said Ndiraya.

“We are at the top, so why shouldn’t we talk about the title? We are in the race now, and hopefully we keep collecting points so that we maintain that position.

“But I’ve always said that in the situation we are in, we are not yet in control of the title race. At the moment, we are fighting. We are in it, but we also hope that Simba Bhora will slip up and take advantage of that.”
