The newly appointed Zimbabwe national football team head coach Marian Marinica has issued his first assessment of the Warriors squad.
The Warriors are currently in camp in Saudi Arabia, as they prepare for two international friendlies against Algeria and Qatar during the November international break.
Zimbabwe will have a date with Algeria on Thursday, 13 November, in Jeddah, before travelling to Doha to play Qatar on Monday, 17 November.
Speaking to ZIFA Media after the team’s first training session in Jeddah, Marinica exhibited great satisfaction with his charges’ noting their attitude and commitment to national duty.
“The energy is excellent. The boys are showing hunger and professionalism.
“This camp is about setting standards — physical, tactical, and mental,” said Marinica.
Meanwhile, the entire squad is expected to be in camp by Tuesday.
