Cape Verde Qualify for First-Ever FIFA World Cup After 3–0 Win Over Eswatini

Cape Verde have sealed historic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, defeating Eswatini 3–0 at the Estádio Nacional de Cabo Verde to finish top of their group — edging out African giants Cameroon on goal difference.

After a tense first half, the Blue Sharks broke the deadlock through Dailon Livramento (48′), before Willy Semedo (54′) doubled the lead with a composed finish. Veteran defender Stopira (90+2′) capped off the night with a late strike to seal victory and spark wild celebrations in Praia.
