Young Africans took a giant step toward the next round of the CAF Champions League with a commanding 3-0 away victory over Angola’s Wiliete SC on Friday, September 19, 2025.
The Tanzanian giants controlled the game from the outset and broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute when Aziz Andabwile finished off a flowing move. They doubled their advantage midway through the second half through Edmund Godfrey in the 71st minute, punishing Wiliete’s defensive lapses.
The final blow came in the 81st minute when Zimbabwean striker Prince Dube curled home a superb effort, sealing an emphatic win and putting Young Africans in complete control of the tie.
The result leaves Wiliete with a mountain to climb in the return leg, while Young Africans will be confident of completing the job and advancing further in Africa’s premier club competition.
