The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced new regulations requiring all head coaches in top men’s competitions, that is AFCON, CHAN, CAF Champions League, and Confederation Cup , to hold a CAF A or CAF PRO License.
Meanwhile assistant coaches must at least have a CAF A.
The move aims to professionalize African football, improve tactical standards, and align all member associations with modern coaching requirements.
“Excellence on the field begins with knowledge on the bench,” noted CAF.
