Sheasham FC Makes U-Turn on League Exit Following Stakeholder Engagements
Sheasham FC has reversed its decision to withdraw from the ZIFA Central Region Soccer League, just a week after pulling out alongside its women’s side, Sheasham Queens.
The Gweru-based club had cited an “uneven playing field” that it said undermined the competition’s integrity. Following discussions with ZIFA and other football leaders, the club confirmed its return, saying the engagements had addressed its key concerns.
In a statement, Sheasham thanked supporters for their patience and pledged to focus on contributing positively to the development of Zimbabwean football. The club urged fans and partners to continue rallying behind both the men’s and women’s teams as they resume league action.
