A handful of foreign-based Warriors players were in action — or wrapped up duties — ahead of reporting for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations camp.
Tawanda Chirewa was an unused substitute as Wolves suffered a 2–1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in their final Premier League outing before the AFCON break.
Elsewhere, Brendan Galloway celebrated his 100th appearance for Plymouth Argyle, playing the full match in a 1–0 League One win over Rotherham. Andy Rinomhota missed Reading’s game through illness but is set to travel with the Warriors to Morocco, while Sheffield Wednesday’s Sean Fusire is due to feature against Derby County on Monday night.
In Denmark, Munashe Garan’anga was left out of FC Copenhagen’s squad after already linking up with the Warriors camp. Jonah Fabisch was an unused substitute for Erzgebirge Aue in Germany, Bill Antonio sat out KV Mechelen’s win over Club Brugge, and Tawanda Maswanhise started for Motherwell before being substituted in a goalless draw.
Several foreign-based players, including Marvelous Nakamba, Macaulay Bonne and Teenage Hadebe, are already in camp as Zimbabwe finalise preparations for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
