Zim Warriors Jump Seven Places in Latest FIFA World Football Country Rankings

The Zimbabwe National Team has made a notable leap in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking, climbing seven places to 117th globally. The Warriors’ rise follows back-to-back victories over Namibia in the recent Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifiers, earning them 27.49 percentage points.

This improvement marks Zimbabwe’s continued ascent towards the top 100, after also moving up five places last month due to their draws against Kenya and Cameroon in the AFCON qualifiers. On the continental stage, Zimbabwe now ranks 31st in Africa.

In Africa, Morocco holds onto the top spot, followed by Senegal, Egypt, Nigeria, and Algeria rounding out the top five.

Globally, Argentina remains the top-ranked nation, although their lead over second-placed France and third-placed Spain has narrowed. England, Brazil, and Belgium maintain their positions in the top ten, while Portugal and Italy have each gained one place. Meanwhile, the Netherlands and Colombia have dropped one spot each, and Germany (11th) is edging closer to the top ten.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be released after the upcoming international break on November 28.
