Zimbabwe national team winger Daniel Musendami was instrumental in Marumo Gallants’ 2-1 comeback win over Orlando Pirates at the weekend.
Pirates went ahead through Patrick Maswanganyi, but Musendami equalised just before halftime, pouncing on a loose ball in the box and smashing a powerful left-footed strike past Sipho Chaine.
The game remained evenly balanced until stoppage time, when Jaisen Clifford grabbed the winner to complete Gallants’ dramatic turnaround.
At the back, veteran Zimbabwe Warriors goalkeeper Washington Arubi delivered a standout performance, producing several key saves to keep the Buccaneers at bay.
The victory lifts Gallants to the top of the table with six points from two matches.
