Warriors legends express opposing views as 13 year old features in Zim PSL

Warriors legend George Mbwando has weighed in the debate after 13 year old Ethan Tamson featured in the top flight football, Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League.

Tamson who made history becoming the youngest player to feature in ZPSL plays for MWOS FC.

His inclusion in the senior team, has since triggered a debate on if it is right or bad for the youngester.

Meanwhile, Mbwando former Warriors defender says it exposes the boy to serious injuries.

“I would not put my 13 year old son’s health at risk by allowing him to play in competitive games where some players weigh more 100 kgs.

“This is not good at all. Just one aerial tussle with a heavier opponent would be enough to end his career.

“He will also miss out on the junior development which is crucial in his career.

However, another Warriors legend Cephas Chimedza thinks otherwise.

“You have a problem with a 13 year old playing in PSL, but don’t have a problem with a soccer bet company owning a football team,” said.
