Ngwenya the hero, Zindoga answers back as Warriors shine in Durban thriller

Zimbabwe Warriors duo Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya and Junior Zindoga took centre stage as AmaZulu staged a dramatic late comeback to edge TS Galaxy 3–2 in a pulsating Betway Premiership clash at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The contest was cagey and physical early on, with few clear openings before AmaZulu began to probe through Riaan Hanamub and Mory Keita just after the half-hour mark. Despite the rising tempo, the sides went into the break deadlocked.

Galaxy struck first on 70 minutes when Victor Letsoalo headed home from a corner, but the game turned on the introduction of Ngwenya. The AmaZulu substitute made an instant impact, sweeping in Athini Maqokola’s low delivery in the 79th minute to level matters.

Just three minutes later, Zindoga restored Galaxy’s advantage, finishing confidently after Kganyane Letsoenyo carved open the defence—his contribution underlining the Warriors’ influence on both sides of the contest.

AmaZulu refused to yield. With the clock ticking down, Ngwenya turned provider, slipping a clever pass for Mlondi Mbanjwa to make it 2–2 in the 89th minute. Deep into stoppage time, Ngwenya completed a remarkable cameo, timing his run perfectly to latch onto another Maqokola cross and bundle home the winner.

Ngwenya’s brace and assist sealed a memorable comeback and lifted AmaZulu to fourth on the table, while Galaxy—despite Zindoga’s strike—remain sixth. For Zimbabwe supporters, it was a thrilling night that showcased two Warriors making decisive impacts at the sharp end of the PSL.
