French club FC Nantes have omitted Tinotenda Kadewere from their squad for Saturday evening’s pre-season friendly against Guingamp, as the Zimbabwean forward edges closer to a move to Aris Thessaloniki in Greece.
Reports from Greece suggest the Warriors international is expected to arrive in the country on Monday to undergo a medical and complete the transfer.
The 29-year-old already travelled to Greece on Thursday with his agent to finalise contract terms. He is set to join Aris on a free transfer that includes a sell-on clause, following his release by Nantes despite having a year left on his contract.
Kadewere initially joined Nantes on loan from Lyon in January 2024, before making the switch permanent in July 2024. However, his stint at the club has been marked by injuries and inconsistency, limiting his impact.
He scored four goals in 28 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.
