Tawanda Maswanhise Wins Scottish Premiership Player of the Month Award

Tawanda Maswanhise’s breakout season in Scotland has reached another milestone after the Zimbabwean forward was named Scottish Premiership Player of the Month for November — a rare achievement for a Motherwell player and a testament to his rising influence in the league.

Maswanhise earned the honour after a superb month in which he scored three league goals, including a memorable brace against Kilmarnock, and played a decisive role in Motherwell collecting eight points from a possible twelve. His form has not only lifted the Steelmen into the top half of the table but has also drawn widespread admiration across Scottish football.

The 22-year-old becomes only the fourth Motherwell player in six years to win the award, underlining how exceptional his performances have been in a league dominated by bigger, wealthier clubs.

Reflecting on the achievement, Maswanhise said:

“I’m absolutely buzzing to pick up this award.

It’s my name on the trophy, but this is a team game, and the whole squad has been incredible. Everyone has contributed to our success, and I’m delighted with the way things are going this season.

We’re hoping to carry this form into December and into the New Year.”

With his goal-scoring, creativity, and maturity growing with every match, Maswanhise’s rise shows no sign of slowing — and his latest accolade confirms him as one of the Scottish Premiership’s standout stars of 2025.
