Warriors coach Marian Marinica says the team’s chemistry is sharpening by the day, adding that a brotherhood is forming with purpose and belief.
As the continental football showpiece the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco approaches, he insists Zimbabwe is preparing not to participate, but to truly compete.
“First of all, we want to play a little bit more forward. We want to hold the ball as much as possible, but with the purpose of going forward and trying to make it when you have the chance, to take the opportunity, to take more shots, to create more scoring opportunities, and obviously to score goals,” said Marinica.
Warriors captain Marvelous Nakamba recently echoed the same sentiments, adding that the team is ready to give its best.
He called on the nation at large to rally behind the national team, which is the national pride.
Meanwhile, Mighty Warriors have since began their training camp in Harare, ahead of the three nations tournament to be hosted by Malawi from the 29th of November to the 2nd of December.
Initially, the tournament was supposed to be a four team tournament, but South Africa has pulled out, leaving Zimbabwe, Zambia, and host Malawi.
