The new Warriors head coach Marian Mario Marinica could announce the national team squad today ahead of the scheduled international friendlies against Algeria and Qatar set for next week.

The two games will act as part of Zimbabwe’s preparations for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals to be held in Morocco this December.

Football lovers across the country are waiting with keen interest to see which players Marinica is going to select to do duty for the nation under his charge.

His strategy and understanding of local players will come under scrutiny.

Apparently, the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) President Nqobile Magwizi has expressed confidence in the new Warriors head coach.

Magwizi is on record saying the appointment of Marinica was based on merit and not public opinion.
