Hardrock is on the verge of Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League promotion, now have opened a four point lead at the top of the Central Region Division One Standings with two games left to play.
This came after the team edged former premiership side Chapungu by a goal to nil this afternoon.
It seems one of the main contenders, Sheasham FC may not be able land the post, judging from the remaining matches.
The team had few days ago announced their withdrawal from the league before reversing the decision.
The Gweru-based side had pulled out of the league, along with its women’s team Sheasham Queens, citing an “uneven playing field” which they said compromised the integrity of the competition.
Their withdrawal prompted the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) to launch an inquiry into the matter.
In a statement, the club said the latest decision followed “constructive engagements with various football leadership stakeholders” that addressed their concerns.
Sheasham FC also thanked its supporters for their patience and urged them to continue rallying behind both teams as they return to action.Warriors team jersey
