South African Betway Premiership side AmaZulu FC have bolstered their squad with the signing of two Zimbabwean players — Highlanders FC midfielder Mason Mushore and Ngezi Platinum Stars striker Takunda Benhura — in a move that underlines the club’s renewed faith in Zimbabwean talent.
Both players have agreed terms with the Durban-based outfit, and their transfers are expected to be finalised in January 2026, when they officially link up with Usuthu.
Sources close to AmaZulu confirmed that contractual agreements are complete, with only final registration formalities pending. Mushore and Benhura have been on the radar of AmaZulu scouts for several months, following impressive domestic campaigns with their respective clubs.

The duo will join Warriors forward Thando Ngwenya, who is already part of the AmaZulu setup, making the side one of the few in the DStv Premiership with a growing Zimbabwean contingent.
“AmaZulu see value in Zimbabwean players’ discipline and technical quality,” said a source familiar with the negotiations. “Both players fit the club’s long-term plan.”
If confirmed, Mushore and Benhura will follow in the footsteps of several Warriors greats — Khama Billiat, Willard Katsande, and Tapuwa Kapini — who all once donned AmaZulu colours during their illustrious careers in Mzansi
