The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the full list of nominees for the 2025 CAF Awards, covering performances between 6 January and 15 October 2025.
Each category features a 10-man shortlist, which will later be reduced to a final three before the awards ceremony.
Among the leading contenders for Men’s Player of the Year are Mohamed Salah, Victor Osimhen, Achraf Hakimi, and Serhou Guirassy, while Yassine Bounou, Andre Onana, and Ronwen Williams headline the Goalkeeper of the Year category.
The Men’s Coach of the Year shortlist includes Walid Regragui, Hossam Hassan, and Bubista, whereas Pape Matar Sarr, Iliman Ndiaye, and Fiston Mayele are among those vying for individual honours.
In the Women’s categories, Zambia’s Barbra Banda, Malawi’s Tabitha and Temwa Chawinga, and Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade feature among the Player of the Year nominees. South Africa’s Andile Dlamini and Sedilame Boseja are in contention for Goalkeeper of the Year, with Desiree Ellis shortlisted again for Coach of the Year.
For team honours, South Africa, Morocco, Senegal, and Nigeria are among the nominees for National Team of the Year, while Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, and AS FAR are nominated for Club of the Year in their respective men’s and women’s categories.
