Senegalese Footballer Alassane Diallo Missing in Ghana After Fake Trial Offer

ALASSANE DIALLO: After Cheikh Toure’s Death, Another Senegalese Player Goes Missing in Ghana

The tragedy surrounding the death of Cheikh Touré has been followed by another alarming case — the disappearance of 18-year-old Alassane Diallo, a promising footballer from Pikine, Senegal, who vanished in Ghana on 18 October 2025.

According to different sources seen by zimbabwewarriorszone.com, Diallo had been offered what appeared to be a golden opportunity to join a Ghanaian club, Njaccaar Sports Center, before taking part in a supposed trial tournament in Morocco. Carrying official-looking documents, he left home full of ambition — but his dream quickly turned into a nightmare.

Once in Ghana, the club reportedly demanded 850,000 CFA francs ($1,143 USD) for him to join the team, followed by another request for 1,200,000 CFA francs ($1,611 USD). His mother and brother, though uneasy, sent both payments in good faith. Shortly after, Diallo’s communications grew sporadic — and then stopped completely on 18 October, the day he was last heard from.

His disappearance comes just a week after Cheikh Touré was found dead in Ghana in a similar fake-trial scam, deepening fears of an organised network preying on young African footballers.

Diallo’s family is pleading for urgent intervention from both Senegalese and Ghanaian authorities, as well as support from international organisations and football bodies, to help locate him and bring those responsible to justice.
