Scottland Seal Dream Season with Trophy Presentation in Gweru

Scottland Make History as First Debutants to Win PSL in 41 Years

New Premier Soccer League champions Scottland were officially crowned this afternoon in a vibrant ceremony at a rain-soaked Ascot Stadium in Gweru.

The Mabvuku-based side made history by becoming the first club in 41 years to win the league title in their debut top-flight season — a remarkable achievement that has reshaped the narrative of Zimbabwean football.

In recognition of their landmark triumph, Scottland received a brand-new PSL trophy, with First Lady Dr Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa presiding over the presentation. The champions fittingly rounded off their fairytale campaign with a 2–1 victory over TelOne in wet conditions at Ascot.

Club captain Walter Musona paid tribute to the supporters and club leadership, saying their unity and unwavering belief were the driving force behind Scottland’s extraordinary run to the title.
